Unfolding

“There is so much more within your crystalline core than you yet know. It is time for your unfolding. One step at a time is all it takes.”         Unfolding, a card from the Luminaries Deck, encourages us to go deeper. There is more that is unfolding from within our core. When I visualize the process of unfolding, I see a bed sheet carefully folded and stored in a closet. One day you are led to bring this sheet out. Carefully, you unfold it. There are creases in it from having sat in that closet for so long. You smooth out the creases, feeling the soothing touch of closely woven cotton. You had almost forgotten that this sheet was in your closet. You smell it’s fresh scent. You touch it to your cheek. You know that it is familiar even though you have not taken it out for so long. “There is so much more with your crystalline core. . .” What else might be in that closet? What other precious attributes have you set aside? It may seem strange to focus on unfolding at a time when there is so much uncertainty. But that’s the point. We are being led to take one step into a new way of being. The uncertainty has removed our solid footing that was firmly placed in patterns of life that were familiar. What better time to step forward, even gingerly, to create a new platform from which to live! Unfolding goes on to encourage us: “At the right time and in the right place, as you connect with...

Putting Life in Order

Affirmation:  I am putting my life in order! This affirmation became a place of contemplation for me. Here’s what came to me. Why put my life in order? My brain feels free when life is in order. This doesn’t have to be a confining space. It can be a clear space. Order clears the chaos. It frees creativity, allowing higher wisdom to move in easily. Why does order create creativity? The brain will not settle in chaos. It swirls instead. Swirling not only confuses those around me, but it also hides the nuggets of wisdom and creativity ready to emerge.   What are some ways I can put my life in order?   Align with Divine Spirit Breathe Ask “What is my heart’s desire today?” What is my first step toward that heart’s desire? Sorting, Releasing & Organizing

My apartment is strewn with boxes: > Tax information I am shredding > Slides I am sorting > Old journals I am going through to find the bits I want to save and reorganize. I am gratefully letting go of anything that no longer feels relevant. Have you felt the need to sort, release, and organize?  This is a great time to do that before you head into a new moon.  Clearing the energy around you, and in you, leaves room for new intentions to come into this present moment. Simply Self, from the Luminaries Set, supports us in this process. Simplify! Simplify! Simplify! Make room for clarity of thinking and feeling, which allows pearls of wisdom to emerge from deep within.  As we sort, release and organize, we simplify life.  The energy around us grows lighter, more flowing.  This leaves us open to receive what is next. What are you hanging onto that keeps the energy around you stagnant? What if you let go of anything that no longer feels relevant? What might then be allowed to flow into your life? Please share your thoughts!  We learn so much from how each of us sorts, releases, and organizes.   Blessings, Arlene Arnold www.ThePowerofColor.com                ...

How Can That Be Co-Dependent?

A pattern I have noticed in relationships goes something like this.   “He/She’s my better half!”     “I can’t live without her (him).”     “He/She completes me.”   We sing about it! We declare it to our friends! We think saying this is a compliment! Isn’t this a way of saying how important the other person is to you? Many see it as another way of saying I love you. But, what if it’s the perfect setup for co-dependency? How can that be? It just means I love this person so much! This way of thinking can mean that you are unwilling to be complete within yourself! Ouch! That doesn’t seem right! I want to be whole, but I’m just not sure what that is. So then, let’s look at what it means to be complete, whole within ourselves. Wholeness means that the duality of selves within us begin to work together. Each represents part of us. Together, they bring in the whole person. Wholeness brings together your conscious human self and your super conscious spiritual self. It balances your empowered masculine side and your empowered feminine side. This is the recipe for healthy relationships! You no longer get stuck in the daily drama because now you can step back and observe life through a more expanded lens. Therefore, you see how you are acting and responding and you see how the other person in the relationship is acting and responding. You have more compassion for yourself and others because you are not blaming yourself or others. You recognize that being human means you trip up sometimes, even when...

Soul Centering Possibilities

What a time of transformation!  So much is coming forward to help us. My friend and mentor, Peggy, shared this with me when she returned from her trip.  I feel it is so helpful!  I asked her if I could share it with you.  May it bless your journey. Arlene Arnold,  www.ThePowerOfColor.com Peggy Smith    What I learned on my vacation. I am resilient I have no need to be ‘right’ at any cost I do not herd well… wandering off on my own when the opportunity arises.  I am now more bewildered than ever about…. well, just about everything.  Why do people choose… no, it’s not about choosing.  I think it’s about losing.  We lose our way and confuse our desires and dreams as the meaning and guiding force in our lives. I have had a small revelation about something I observed. We all have an internal guidance system that can right our course when we have lost our way.  It came to me that, much like a well-built sea faring vessel, we all entered this voyage called life with a divine navigational tool; we all have soul centering possibilities. Soul centering possibilities gently return us to compassion and trust in the flow of loving kindness.  Soul centering possibilities never deplete our life force or require validation.  Validation of self through what we own, what we produce, what we hear others say about us, or how much we suffer while being disappointed by all of the above. Soul centering possibilities show us how to navigate from the heart not the mind. If we can return to the source...

Balancing Inspiration and Motivation

Do you sometimes feel like a yo-yo moving back and forth between inspiration and motivation?  One minute you are feeling good saying “I am so inspired by this!” The next minute part of you kicks in that says “You can’t just sit here and feel good; you’ve got to get something done!” Suddenly, what felt light and fun, now feels heavy, a task not a fun adventure.  Sitting in inspiration feels good, but it can also be like admiring a beautiful car without ever starting the engine.  The doing is important, yet it is not meant to take over; otherwise, you could be speeding along eating up the miles without any destination in mind. So, the question is: How do you reach balance between inspiration and motivation? How can you admire your beautiful car, set the GPS, appreciate the smooth ride and beautiful scenery, and still get where you want to go?  That’s where the colors yellow and purple come in.  Yellow is the personality-self looking to be valued through what it does; whereas, Purple encourages you to go deeper into your soul’s inspiration.  This push/pull between the human and the being parts of the self is a lifelong challenge for everyone. During the journey to find the balance between yellow and purple, I was led to a very important soul discovery. In a moment of life reflection I found I was in service to a powerful task master who stood over me to be sure I was valuable by accomplishing much.  I had a father who worked hard to support his family, but seldom had time for fun...
